Effective Monday December 26th, 2016 the Belle Glade Express will be consolidating and modifying service into two routes: Orange and Pink. The new Orange and Pink routes will run approximately every 60 minutes from 5:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Please refer to the map below for the anticipated routing. Detailed maps and schedules will be available soon.

Belle Glade Street Paving Initiative http://www.bellegladegov.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=153:belle-glade-street-paving-initiative&catid=86:news http://www.bellegladegov.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=153:belle-glade-street-paving-initiative&catid=86:news In an effort to improve the infrastructure of the City of Belle Glade, not only for enhancing the appearance of the City but for improving the quality and safety of our streets, the City Commission has over the last 2-3 years undertaken a concerted effort to seek and secure street repair funding. We are pleased to report that we have been very successful in achieving the first part of our goals.
In addition to street repaving, it is important to note that many of these locations will include drainage improvements and/or guardrails as well. Here are the first few phases of our street repair project, but rest assured, there is much more to come!!

City of Belle Glade Receives Award for Excellence in Financial Reporting http://www.bellegladegov.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=152:city-of-belle-glade-receives-award-for-excellence-in-financial-reporting&catid=35:department-of-finance http://www.bellegladegov.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=152:city-of-belle-glade-receives-award-for-excellence-in-financial-reporting&catid=35:department-of-finance At it's regular meeting on October 30th, 2014, the Belle Glade City Commission recognized the Finance Department for earning the prestigous  Certificate of Acheivement for Excellence in Financial Reporting. This award is given by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada to governments that submit a comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR) which is judged by an impartial panel and meet the high standards of the program, including demonstrating a constructive "spirit of full disclosure" to clearly communicate it's financial story.  This  attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management, and is an indication of the professional quality of work being performed by the City's Finance Department staff.

June is typically the first full month of South Florida's annual rainy season, a five-month period that brings 70 percent of our regional rainfall in an average year. The rainy season can also bring flooding, which may occur when large amounts of rain fall over a short period of time or from a single heavy storm, tropical system or hurricane.
